Is there a trick to get the fill/drain screws off on a 90hp Honda motor? They must have been torqued on by the factory. This is the first 20hr service.

Probably will have to use a torque type hammer impact device. I would not hit too hard, but that should back it out. I was going to check the oil drain on my 225 today and could not get loosened by hand, just left it until I need it open. I have noticed with my Honda 15 that they factory installed stuff is definately over tightened, even to lower end bolts. I had one snap off on me last year.

Just had similar issue with my 20hp. I ended up borrowing a large Sears craftsman flat blade screw driver (i.e. the tip was almost 1/2" wide). The metal shank/shaft of the screw driver was square, so that I could get an adjustable wrench on the screw driver. I also first gave the screws a couple of light hits with a hammer on the end of the screw driver - they came right out without issue. This was also the first gear oil change for this motor - appears they were just overtightenend at the factory.
