I am changing the water pump impeller on a 7.5 evinrude eastwin,do i have to remove the power head to disconect the shift linkage?Also,where is the cooling water outlet on this engine
You don't have to remove the power head. There should be an access plate on the side of the shaft with a 3/8 head hex nut. Loosen that up and kind of pry the linkage apart. Take off the spacer that is nearest the propeller and there your impeller should sit.
