I've changed the gear lube many times, followed the vids and all that. So, when oil runs out of the vent, we screw that vent plug in.
At that point (after replacing vent plug), why not continue pumping lube until it reaches the resivour bottle?
As we all do, the normal next step is to pull the pumper, screw in that lower plug and fill into the resv. And during the first boating run, have that extra bottle of lube handy because the lube level will drop ... fill er back up and go.
Any idea if the continued pumping would be better?? Or would it create a different issue?
Chances are that I am thinking about this way too much ...
