Gday all, I'm hoping someone can help out here...
I have a seized (in process of unseizing) 3.3hp Mercury (yr 2000) outboard. I also have acquired a 2.5hp 2007 forward only outboard in perfectly good condition.
So my question is, can i swap the lower units of these, so I have a working motor with forward and neutral, without causing extra stress on the 2.5hp motor. I'm so far assuming the gear shaft going into the crankshaft will fit (if that makes sense).
