Changed Tstats 2000 200hp Saltwater series ,LOVE the easy maintenance!!

I have has the motor for 3 years and I have to say Yamaha has made motors
easy for a regular guy to maintain. I have easily done waterpump, fuel pumps, vst filter, fuel filter and other really simple stuff.I have to hand it to Yamaha,They make it feasible for a regular guy to do some maintenance and then some.I changed the Stats today and
there simply is not any way they could have made it any easier to do.Just had to tip my cap to Yamaha. its my 1st but won't be my last. Charlie

What was wrong that you had to change the thermostats?

If you’re having corrosion issues suggest going to SS stats. Mine are probably 15 years old and still look new

Nothing wrong,no issues at all, just doing some pm so nothing does go wrong.I have had the motor 3 years and would have no idea when the stats were last changed.All clean inside the housing and old stats had minimal wear/corrosion .Charlie

Yep,last season.Was also an easy maintenance to perform.Charlie
