change to electric start

I have a 9.9 two stroke evinrude. Mod. # e1oreir ser. q02958203 Is it possible to convert it to electric start??

Sure it is possible, if you can find all the parts. The kit is no longer available new, but it was part number 173344 and the last price was $712.98. Needless to say, I assume you will be looking for some used parts? Might be better to just look for another motor.

I was having trouble starting if it had set for awhile. It would wear me out pulling on it. Come to
find out the gas line fitting to the engine wasn't sealing good. Now that I changed that it takes right off and runs like a charm for a old motor. No need for electric start.
