I have a 2001 90 2 stroke Mercury and want to replace the sparkplugs. A clerk at the local parts store said that the Champion plug was a good replacement for the NGK plug (which he didn't have) The Champion QL78V are cheaper than the NGK BUZHW-2. Is there a performance or longevity difference? I currently run the NGK's and have never had a plug related problem.

I'm new to Mercury's, but all the reading I've done recommends NGK's for Mercurys. I've always used Champions in my OMC's, but will go with the NGK's as recommended fot the Merc.
