sorry if this should not be here. i haven't noticed anywhere on this site for chainsaw parts. i've looked on the internet for parts, and haven't had much luck.

i have a homelite CS-50 chainsaw. i need a new rotor with starter pawls & springs. i didn't want to order from homelite, but then broke down and tried to get it. it is on backorder indefinitely... so now i've been trying to find junk saws to pull parts from. no one around seems to have one. there are about 6 other models with same part. even rotor from briggs is on backorder. its a great saw, i want to keep it going - 50cc with 20"bar. been waiting since last fall to fix it!

anyone got junk homelite saws? i believe it will work with: cs40,cs4018,cs50,cs5020,300,252 & 250

Re: chainsaws

thanx master schematic! the # rang for 2mins, but it might have been after hours... i called at just b4 5pm western coastal time. almost 8pm my time... my manual is at work- if that is the standard homelite parts line, i've done it already. but i will try it again @10am tomorrow

Re: chainsaws

sure! the rotor:
homelite#: A- 00994-B
A=assbly (i think), so you might leave it out in a search for part#'s

The Briggs/Stratton#: A04778A
