Just wondering what lakes in central Massachusetts are liked. We've been going to Webster Lake and lake Quinsigamond but wouldn't mind trying some other fun places.

Re: Central Massachusetts Lakes

So far we think webster is the best.

We like Webster lake also. A few weeks ago, we ate at Waterfront Mary's over there. Lake Quinsigamond is really fun. There's an island over there where you can nose up to and have a lot of fun. There's a tarzan rope on each side of the island for those who like to swing into the water. I think our next try will be Lake cochituate. I'm told it's quite fun but we've never been there.

Re: Central Massachusetts Lakes

I live near lake cochituate and have a friend that lives on the lake who said I can morn at his dock. I don't really care for that lake. #1 a lot of mill weed #2 there are 4 tunnels in the lake, one has sharp boulders on ether side (rt9 overpass) another tunnel goes under a rail road bridge . boy is that one tight, only about 92'' wide. the other 2 tunnels are not that bad to go through. The ramp has a big drop off and a lot off and a lot of kayakers who rent them from the state park.
I would like to try the lake in Lakeville but heard there are bouders that are not marked. I was thinking of taking a fall trip down the conn river or a lake in NH.
