I am looking for advice on a new/used center console for striper fishing. I am looking in the 21-23' range and would be using it both inshore and offshore to 3-4 miles.

Scott-14,

Moving to the boats section. I believe you'll get more responses.

I have had a Mako for a number of years and would highly recommend. It is made so well that you can get a very used one and still have a boat as good as some new boats.Takes the waves very well,no pounding when it is rough.Charlie

Have a 1988 Wellcraft 23' CC & love it - use in & around Miami & Keys.

Had a 22' Keywest with 200hp yamaha motor. Great boat, have had it in 7' seas (not by choice) and 60 miles off shore (not at the same time).
Built like a tank, no wood to rot and soft ride, reasonably priced also.

Re: Center Console

I agree with the key west 22. Mostly because I own one. But it's a solid built boat with a great ride. Average 25 knots in 3 ft seas, large live well and washdown come standard. I need to install trim tabs but other than that great boat.
