Hello All,
I own a 2004 Lund Explorer with a 60HP tiller.
While fishing this weekend on Lake Shasta in Northern California, I realized that the floor boards beneath my drivers seat were rotting. So, I now need to replace them, which is quite a production.
Since I need to pull everything out, I was think about converting to a center console with a steering wheel. I've scoured the web for ideas, but haven't come up with anything (feedback, other experiences, etc.) for a 16 foot Lund that has been converted.
I'm interested in a number of things:
1. Is this a good idea, or should I simply repair the floor boards, use the boat, then sell it when I want something different?
2. Does anyone have any experience with a center console conversion on this boat?
3. Will the boat lose or gain in resale value with such a modification?
4. Any sources that you can recommend for the "right" console for this boat?
Thank you for your thoughts and consideration.
Best,
David
