CDI Shift Interupter

Hi all,
I posted this in my other thread but I picked up a good running engine and it had this CDI Shift Interupter on it. Is this something I should keep or revert back to the original setup.

They work just as well as OEM, I have one on my 4.3 Cobra for almost 10 years now….
