Hi all, the rod on my 50hp has a casting number stamped on it that is 327212. will a rod with the casting number 322312 be interchangable with mine? What do these numbers represent?

Thank

You can't go by casting numbers. That is the number for the rough casting before any machining operations were done on it. The same casting might even be used to make more than one finished product.

the model number is E50TELCEC I know that the model number for the rod used on my outboard is 395861 but I was just curious if i could just go by casting #'s as there's a vendor selling rods but only lists the casting number and indicates that it's for 40 to 50 hp motors
