I think they should still get rid of Cashman. He is an insult to the judiciary.

Re: Cashman changes sentence to 3-10 years

Judge Edward Cashman said he felt he could now impose the longer sentence because the state had agreed to provide treatment to the man while he is behind bars. The state had initially said such treatment would not come until after the man served his time.

What kind of jurisprudence is that? Holding the state hostage to get what you want? And still not giving the offender what he should have gotten?

Sorry, but I have a real problem with sexual preditors.

At least us dogs are in agreement. Cashman may be a dog, but he's not one of us!

O'Reilly said on his radio show yesterday that Cashmans brother in law is one of the big movers and shakers in Vermnot. If thats true, it makes it easier to understand why so many 'public servants' are standing behind him.

Way too little way to late. Should try that SOB Judge for obstruction of justice. Simple bass-turd he is.

Not that the guy should not get plenty of time, but....How is it that a judge can change a sentence?....
I sentence you to 30 ...No, wait 60 days.....No wait 10 years ....Uh, 20 years....Yeah that's it.....It just doesn't seem right that someone should wield that kind of power....Again, I think that he should have gotten something much stiffer right off the bat...He used a lame excuse to try to extricate himself from a pile of doodoo, IMHO...I just can't like the fact that he can change sentence on a whim, it does not seem right.....JK

How about, for all child molesters they let the parents administer the penalty. That would really help eliminate this crime don't ya' think?

Similar thing happened in West Virginia this week. The judges dismissed the case against a guy that pleaded guilty ... PLEADED GUILTY!!! ... to solicitation of sex, i.e. soliciting an undercover cop that looked like a **********.

The guy is a sheriff’s deputy, retired from the Marines, has a purple heart, and pleaded guilty to a crime.
