Here are a few pics from our day trip to East Tawas from Caseville - Been boating a few years and never got the chance to get over there, Finally pulled the trigger on a "longer" run across Saginaw bay and the family loved it. Left at 9:00 and pulled into the harbor in ET at 10:00 - It is just over 25 miles on the GPS - Very friendly at the dock and tied her up for the day for $10.00 - Docks along the breakwall were HUGE - My boat looked like a toy but it worked.
Even had a pet on the boat while we were grilling.
My son took the wheel and drove 12+ miles on the way home - He did really well following the headings on the GPS and also working the trim tabs (boat is finiky about the tabs) He had his USCG training last year and loved being captain.
Great trip and maybe 1' waves a the most, Just a nice day.
