carter carb 0-2425 on mercruiser 3.0

I have a 1992 bayliner capri w 3.0 i/o alpha1 2nd gen i am wondering if i can exchange my carb for the one below?

and will i get the same responce as i have now ?


Carter 2 bbl 0-2425 Carburetor Boat Auto

Top casting # is 2252

Bowl casting is 0-2425

Base casting is 2469 ? (The last # is difficult to read and may be an 8 or something else)

I Doubt if that's an Answerable Question to most of Us here at iboats,......
If it's not a carb built,+ sold as a Direct Replacement for Your carb,.....
I'm Sure there'll be some fitment Issues that'll need to be dealt with.........

I guess that will depend on just how Well your current carb is functioning,........

If your looking for added HP,......... Forget it..............

Well i am not looking for speed just better perfomance from the carb, i purchased this boat two years ago and i really don't know to much about what's on the block so i thought if i got something new i know the age of the unit in question and thanks for the answer i am just thinkering..
