Last carp of the 2012 season... we saw some freaking hogs out there this past weekend...20-30lbs easy...

Realized that the clear water, and depth make for different shooting angles... haven't figured out how to shoot in depths of 5"+ yet... used to shooting in shallow water..

Anyway...LastCarp2012.jpg

I've found that the angle of the sun has alot to do with your vision refraction when under...the deeper you are, the larger your shift needs to be. The only question is what direction!!!

you need to shoot under about 5" the deeper they are the lower you aim. Just stick a arrow in the water by hand and you will see it bend. If they are a foot under you need to shoot a foot under them.p.s. only put half the arrow in the water..

Re: Carp Bowfishing ...

yeah... When my buddy was up on the platform, and I was aft on the trolling motor I could see those arrows planing off big time..

We just couldnt shoot under them enough...

And this was my first go without using any sights... trying to get used to the bow and shooting on instinct and feel.

Next year... they are all mine!
