I think my carburetor is running to rich because:

1) I had it overhauled last summer and the mechanic said he's running it rich for the break-in period.

2) I have runny oil coming out of the prop area after I run it (it doesn't drip constantly).

3) I have puddle of gas in the forward engine area, just under the 6 intakes (I think that is what they are).

4) Gas is spitting out of the two exaust holes (above the water line).

5) My spark plugs are wet.

Are these symptoms of the carburetor running too rich?

Is adjusting the carburetor something I can do myself or should I take it into the shop?

Thanks :)

Yep it sounds like you might just want to take it back in and have it "tuned to run best".
