I need to buy a new marine carburetor but do not know which one to buy, Edelbrock, Holley or any other type. This carburetor will go on a Ford Windsor 351. Any suggestions on which is better than the other. Thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Standard operatin' procedure is to drop on another copy of what's there,...

That saves havin' to build brackets, reriggin' cables, 'n All the other hassles that go with changin' it,...

I'm going to reply as there was a misunderstanding. You didn't mention what kind of carb you had, or your engine serial number for us to look up what the engine came with (size, cfm, etc). Standard procedure of replacing a carb is to replace it with the same one which was on it. Now if you want to install another type, size or other, please provide us with some info about your engine. There have been several carbs put on 351W, 2 and 4 barrel.

Please take 5 and try again

Take the time to to think out what Bondo has illuminated......It's not about the carb it's about the whole system...now if you dont know the difference between those carb's i somewhat doubt you will want to tinker with a new throtlle bracket and alignment procedure's ohh and jet sizing...etc etc etc...

Now if you like to tinker and fine tune a carb and you like Holley's..well then Holley...the eldelbrok comes almost spot on out of the box..by the way two or four barrell....

I was just curious if one brand was better than the other. Like the Edelbrock does it hold up better than a Holly? Is there a better carburetor than these two.

Edelbrock not to much to tinker with

Holley lots to play with

There both good carbs i dont believe one is more reliable than the other...however that statement may well provoke a..... what oil is better thread argument...so be it.;)
