On a marine application where you’re gonna have a lot of contact with water I would never leave any metal surface unpainted. You know what water does to metal rightcould you just leave it bare ( no paint )?

I never saw carbs with paint on it..probably the carb components exterior cause paint on the movements .. I put a petroleum product on the carb to protect the metal ..On a marine application where you’re gonna have a lot of contact with water I would never leave any metal surface unpainted.
