Hi dms <br /><br />welcome to the list.. <br /><br />as for your carb.. cleaning any carb is relatively simple if you are mechanically inclined.<br />first stop would be to get a carb kit, (new gaskets and stuff, very cheap to buy, so its worth it.)<br /><br />pull the carb, don't change any settings, drop the float chamber off, and remove the pin holding the float on.. then you can get the needle out and take a look.. becareful some have a rubber like substance on the tip and you don't want to damage that, (although if you get the kit it will probably have a new one, so you can toss the old one after making sure they are the same.)<br /><br />thats all there is to it..<br /><br />if you are not sure of you abilities, then a service manual would be a good addition, (he!! aa workshop manual would be a good addition even if you are sure of your abilities.)<br /><br />regards<br /><br />Frank
