CARBURATOR SETTING

I HAVE A 1972 JOHNSON 50 HORSE. AT IDLE, FLOODS OUT. DOES ANY ONE HAVE A STARTING POINT FOR LOW SPEED SETTINGS ON NEEDLE VALVES? HOW MANY TURNS OUT TO START. HELP IN DEER PARK.<br /><br />THANKS :)

turn in till just bottoms....back out 1 1/2 turns. thats a good starting point. you may have other issues causing flooding.(float, needle and seat, gum etc.)

MUCH THANKS, I THINK THE MOTOR HAS SAT IDLE FOR 3-4 YEARS, HOPE TO BE ABLE TO GET INTO CARBS IN THE SPING. SINCE WEDNESDAY EVENING WE RECEIVED A "BLESSING" OF 16 INCHES OF SNOW. <br /><br />THANKS AGAIN<br />SLUGGO

Send some snow down south...My kids have never seen it..The oldest is twelve. Just send about 12 inches or less for about a week. Cause we dont know how to drive in the stuff..everything shutts down with just a dusting of the stuff.. :)

TRENT, IT'S JUST STARTED SNOWING AGAIN, GLAD TO SEND YOU A FOOT OR TWO. CITY FATHERS ANNOUNCED LAST WEEK THEY ARE NOW OUT OF SNOW PLOWING FUNDS FOR 2001.
