Carburator/Gasoline

I have a 1974, 35hp, Evenrude outboard gasoline motor.<br />At times it starts and runs just fine. It will be running along just fine, and all of a sudden it will shut off, when I try to start it gas runs out of the carburator.<br />Does anyone have any suggestion as to what is going on, and what I can do to fix it?<br /><br />Thanks

Howdy, Mulima.<br /><br />Your float in the carburetor is sticking and flooding the engine.<br /><br />Overhaul the carb.<br /><br />Good luck.
