My 1995 "Ocean Pro" has a fuel leak at the flange between the carb and the manifold on the top port carb.I put in a carb kit and removed and reinstalled it a number of times...but it still leaks. The plastic carb is not cracked. It also appears the other carbs also have some slight leakage. Any suggestions?

Can't help much but my 1995 150 Ocean Pro is doing the exact same thing. The upper left carb is leaking at the mating surface of the carb to the manifold. I took it off and checked the float and all was OK. I retightened everything and that carb is not leaking but one other is seaping in the same spot. At least I'll bump this to the top.

Chances are the leak is at the top edge of the fuel inlet area at the lower part of the carb flange. The factory carb kits include a "fatter" brown molded oring to help seal it better. There is also a service bulletin about the new oring seal, but that was several years ago.

Be sure to check for any nicks on sealing surface and use an inch-lb. torque wrench on the plastic carb body bolts, 45-55 in-lbs.

I have 95 175 hp evinrude oceanpro. Top left carb leaked when I bought it. Replaced manifold to carb molded o-ring and the leak stopped. Can be purchased separately for about $2 from parts dealer. Make sure to scrub mating surfaces clean and wet the seal before sealing it up.

Thanks for the tips guy's! I wasn't aware of the service bulletin on the "O rings". Guess I'll replace the seals and retorque again this week!
