pertaining to this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=28;t=038800

A ?? about to the small red washers....I just rebuilt a carb from a '61 75 hp johnson...the kit came with 4 fiber type washers. in the expl view it shows 4 pack/washrs per low idle needle, 2 red that were a bit oversized and 2 beige that fit right in the threaded hole.
I used the locking nut to set the 1st red down in the backed it out and dropped the 2 beige washers in then repeated the red washer/pack with the locking nut. Did I fowl this up or what??

"That's it Paul, it's the seal washer that goes under the screw, for carb's with a fixed high speed jet. " The kit I had recommended not to mess with the high speed jets unless necessary, what screw are you speaking of ?

--------------------

the red washers are for the plugs that go where the needles used to be on the carbs with fixed hi speed jets
