Carb Questions

Im a 16 year old and I have a 25 and 100 yamaha fourstroke. I do not winterize. If I ran the boats once every month for half an hour would this would thiy be okay for our short winter (3-4 months) instead of winterizing. If not what should I do to winterize. I'm new at this. Thanks!!!

I ran my boats for years with minimal winterizing<br /> Stored late November to May.Usually no gas treatment Ran the carb dry with a shot of oil<br /> Always changed the lower unit oil.<br /> I did this with outboards and straight inboards.<br /> No problems in 30+ years.<br /> Dont forget if you choose to do something like that you need to do your annual maintenance<br /> And if any chance of freezing do the lower unit<br />lube.
