carb problems

need some help on setting the low speed idle<br />1983 70 hp johnson the carbs dont have the <br />needle valve the boat keeps dying after about 1-2 min.how is the best way to set the floats we rebuilt the carbs.the boat was setting for about 12 years.we rebuilt the fuel pump.and replaced alot of other stuff.thanks for your help.butch

Hi,<br /> Well, we have changed the power pack,<br />rebuilt the fuel pump, replaced ignition<br />coils, replaced the fuel lines, the cables.<br />We have also cleaned and rebuilt the carbs <br />and have new plugs and gas tanks. Any help<br />or suggestions that we havent thought of<br />would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Butch
