Carb Problems

The middle carb on my '88 40hp 2 stroke yamaha outboard is dumping gas out of the top when I prime it and while it runs. It has three Keihin BCK's. Where should I start?

Pull carbs and clean.
Check float and for trash in the needle and seat.
If there is trash in one clean all because they may have some also.

Thanks. Sure enough there was some white and yellow jelly like gunk built up in the carbs bowls and the top one actually had the more than the middle.
