I Have A 1988 45hp Mariner On A 20 F00t Pontoon I Have Just Recently Rebuilt The Carbs And The Motor Seems To Burn Way To Much Fuel.there Is A Inline Filter In The Gas Line Between The Tank And The Motor The Fuel Filter Will Be Full When You Start Off But As You Accelerate The Filter Is Empty And The Motor Does Not Accelerate Like It Should.motor Goes Thru A 12 Gallon Gas Tank In A Short Time . Dont Know What The Problem Could Be Motor Also Does Not Run Smooth At Full Throttle And Does Not Seem To Reach Top Speed.
