I'm double checking my carb rebuild and see my float bowl gasket doesn't look the same as the old. All the holes line up but there just a little bit less paper on the new one that goes under the float.
She I bought the kit I used the numbers on the tag of my carb and it came up rochester---1389-9562. But searching on Google it also comes up as Mercruiser. Then I read that a few things are different like the accelerator pump.
So my question Is what kind of carb do o have?
I have 1 mixture screw.

Mercarb, one idle screw gives it away. Kits for mercarb are identical except for accelerator pump style. Some kits you can find have both accelerator pump styles in it, so are universal fit.

Thanks. The accelerator pump that came in my kit looks slightly different then the one I took out. My old pump is maybe 1/8 to 3/16 longer than the new pump. And at the bottom of the pump, the old one is more narrow. I have no idea if that makes a difference but I'm gonna put the old one back in. Also, the kit gives the option to go spring loaded for the float which I did. I'm gonna go back to the original way it was and and reset the float settings to non spring loaded. I hate carbs.
