I have a 1988 omc 4.3 with the rochester 2 bbl carb.I rebuilt my carb and the entire fuel system. They gave me a thinner baseplate gasket than the original and now it binds up a bit between idle and giving it throttle. It's not the carb binding or the cable. There is a metal rod that's about 3-4 inches long between the omc bracket on the intake and the arm on the carb. That's where the problem is.I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.I've tried bending it and all kinds of other stuff but I can't seem to get it towork smoothly. It runs great,It just has a real tight spot when I try to accelerate.
