Hey Guys,

I see in the forms where I should not move carb. linkage and I did.
How do I reset the linkage, Right now the butterflies open all the way at full throttle.
Not sure that is correct, and might be why it boggs at high speed.
Would this have something to do with the air that flows through the carb?

Thanks, Dale

If your 25 is anything like my '94 20hp, you should find that as you increase throttle up, as soon as the throttle shaft that opens the butterfly starts to move, the cam follower must contact the cam be between the two marks (look for a little roller above the carb near the flywheel). If not adjust linkage as necessary.

And yes, the butterfly must be fully horizontal when at full throttle.

Mine is a 1989 25hp and it must be a little different, I know I moved that today, And when I put my hand 1/2 way over the end of carb. it start running better, That is why I was wondering if the butterflies have to be wide open.
I think I messed this adjustment up.

at wide open throttle the butterflies are horizonal giving complete air. what you have done is messed up the link n sinc of the timing and carbs. you also may have a clogging high speed jet, not allowing enough gas into the carb. you need an OEM manual with the directions on how to linc n sinc your motor.

Thanks Guys, I fixed my motor today.
It had a bad oring in the primer pump, which was letting air into the carb.
I replaced and motor runs great.
