Carb Jetting

For my engine mercury has 4 different sizes for the jet. .071, .069, .067, and .065. They say the standard size is .069". My jet is damaged but I have the .065" jet here, will this make a major difference?

I would think the motor would run too lean. Smaller jets are used for running motors at high altitudes.

I would stick with the standard jets, if you are running between sealevel and 5000 feet.
