Wondering if my jets are the right size. I'm having some trouble with the top end rpm and just tore my carbs down again. High speed jet is a 47D, and low speed is 33 or 35 I'm not quite sure. Does anyone have a chart jet vs. altitude?

Model #TE40ELCEC
Serial#G 02305364
Year 89'

Thanks

Don't have an altitude chart for specific jet sizes ,but here's the exploded view of your carb, listing the different jets available.47D and 49D are the optional high speed, and #27,#29,#33,& #35 are the optional idle jets. The 27 and 29 I believe are listed for the 25 hp which is the same carb as your motor, so the #33 and #35 are your choice for the 40 unless elevation dictates otherwise. You may just have to trial and error the idle jets depending on what elevation you are talking about running engine at.Higher the elevation, smaller the jet required.
web page
