I have a 1977 johnson 55 hp, model no. 55EL77D. I have been told there is no adjustments on these , but thats not the case here, see pics. the number on the top carb is 321700, cant find one on the bottom carb. So here is my problem I can adjust the jet on the bottom carb and it will run perfect, unless you run it hard, then it wont stay adjusted the needle doesnt fit tight enough and I guess it vibrates out of adjustment. So I guess my question is, is this set of carbs right, and if not will it hurt to run it like this, and how do I keep the needle from vibrating out of adjustment, thought there was suppose to be a spring on there to keep the tension on the needle.
