Hey guys I'm getting ready to change the gaskets on the carb and fuel intake valve on a 1981 5.0 gamefisher 217-xxxxx. The question I have do I need a sealer for the gaskets? I know as a general rule no sealer where fuel comes in contact... Does this still hold true for these little 2 strokes? Thanx!

Don't do it. The thickness of the gasket affects the relationship between timing and throttle position. Use OEM gasket here, not aftermarket stuff. OEM parts are here;

I generally use some marine grease on gasket surfaces so they don't tear up when you take things apart....
