I have a 1988 60hp johnson and needs some carbs for it. I found some on a 1990 60hp johnson, will they fit on mine? I looked up and they have different part numbers.

They had a couple changes around those yearssome had a fixed low speed jet and others had an adjustable,I ALMOST positive you can use them.If it were me.i would, especially if it was for free or cheap.I suggest you change as a set though, especially if its a differance in the adjustable low speed

For 50 bucks it is absolutely worth a try - it is very likely they will work. The 90 carbs will have the adjustable idle mixture, but that's not a problem.

If you are going to swap carbs, why not look for a newer set off a 70 hp model?
