I have a 2013 15 4 stroke and last year it ran rough so put it in the shop, was charges 250 $ for carb cleaning, but today I loooked under the hood and there was a clear hose running to a port and from there I assume into the carb. Does anybody know is that port for running a carb cleaner? They took it apart supposedly and there's a special process to clean it, just wondering if they just sprayed a cleaner throught that hose to correct problem. Sure would be nice to find an up to date shop manual. Thanks for your help.

Re: carb cleaning

That hose most likely drains the fuel from the bowl of the carb. You can not really clean a carb by spraying things in it. Get a diagram for your carb online. Read up threads on carb cleaning and do it. It's easy especially on that little 15. You need to learn to do this and will be glad to see how easy it is.

For a service manual just go to your local dealer for that brand of engine.
