Is there anything I need to know about this screw? Does it just tighten down or does it need to be adjusted a certain way? I know on some engines you back them out a turn and a half... Is that true for this motor as well?

The rest of that 217 model number will tell the story - If it's a screw with a big flat blank face, no adjustment, if it's got a spring under it with a slotted head, start at 1 1/2 turns out from LIGHTLY seated.

Ya no spring or slot so just snug it up.
