Getting some blowback through the bottom carb on a 99 model 60hp 2 stroker. Fuel puddles up at idle and at higher RPM's a nice fog emits outward from the throat. Pulled the carb and gave it a good cleanup job which it didn't need. This engine (boat) has sat for the last five years and just had the carbs all cleaned up about 50 hours ago, if that long. I seem to think a broken reed for that cylinder may be the problem. Are these located behind the plate (intake) that the carbs are bolted to?

Re: Carb Blowback

sounds like a reed, should suck, not blow. the scematic i looked at shows the reeds under the carbs in the intake manifold.

Re: Carb Blowback

Thanks for the info. Finally found the schematics online and they look fairly simple to get to...
