carb ?/advise

i have a 91 renken bowrider w/a 4.3 omc cobra and a 2 barel holley, my carb is junk the throttle shaft is wiped and the fuel boal is striped wkare the needle and seat goes.... i was wondering if i could put a 600 cfm holley on with a adpter or replace the present carb with a rochester 2 barel carb. would the 4 barel give me better performance? any sujestions on carbs would be appresated thanks.

A 4bbl Carb will give you about 20hp or so,........ But Not with an Adapter,.......
It'll take a New Manifold........

Rochester 2GC will not fit without a spacer to raise the carb throttle arm from hitting the intake manifold. You would need the large bore 2G with 56 jets. As far as the 4 barrel goes, I would covert it to the Holley Marine Projection TBI System, 640 CFMs, HLY-700-21 $920 at Summit Racing. It would not cost much more the 4 barrel system
