carb adjustment

i have twin 350 mags mercruiser w/alpha1. when i start theport motor it smokes and runs rough until it warms up. ineed to adjust the carb. its a 1994 can someone point me in the right direction on adjusting the carbs? the carbs have electric chokes on them. thank you brian

The choke is probably set too tight, or not working propery.
The Merc service manual would be the best place to get information on your engine.

First make sure the connection to the choke (round thing on side of carb with black plastic cap and two electrical connections) are good. Then start it and see if the choke opens all the way like the other one. If it doesn't or if its slow then you may need to adjust it or replace it.
