is it fairly easy to adjust the carbs on a 68 70hp chrysler. still waitng on my manual. i think this could be a problem for my plugs fouling out when i idle. when i pulled out the plugs and turned the motor over, it seemed like there was a good spray of gas coming out of the cylinders. i did it for a while with the same amount coming out. i dont really wanna put a hotter plug in it, right now i am running the BUHW(ngk) and i think the only step hotter is the BUH but that is the hottest i can run and i am afraid of burning up a piston or 3. thanks for the help.

Re: carb adjustment

Go to NAPA and get a rebuild kit. It comes with fairly good instructions also. In my opinion, you should stay with the original recommended spark plug. My book doesn't list a'68 70hp. It lists a '69 70 hp though. The plug for that engine was the Champion L-19V. Point gap is .013-.015 in.
