Hi I have an 1964 18hp evinrude fastwin thats just been rebuilt and runs great(in a bucket) with the exception of low idle(starts on the first pull)I have been round outboards for life, but this one seems to be extreeeeemly sensitive to carb adjustments. Is something wrong with it? Or am i all thumbs? ps It seems to have a lean cough at 500-900 rpm

UUMMMM,<br /><br />If it was just rebuilt,it should have included the carb.<br /><br />So put it in the water, run wide open and adjust the high speed needle,THEN idle down and do the low speed needle.<br /><br />This has been posted before, and much more will show up under "SEARCH"<br /><br /><br />DHP
