Engine runs rough in the area around 1200 RPM. Low idle and above 2000 RPM OK. The manual details the idle adj. but does not define the midrange or high speed adj. except to indicate location of adjusters. I'm looking for the RPM range and procedure for each adjustment. Each of the 6 cyllinders has its own set of adjustments.

I suggest a sync and link before messin' with the carbs. The transition range (low to high speed jets) can cause this roughness if carbs and timimg are not synched. Common between 1200 and 1800 rpm on these v6 loopers (mine is a 95 175 oceanpro). Check the manual for the procedure.

Thanks for the suggestion. Before the idle adjustment I did a sync & link per the manual (I hope.). The off-idle roughness was not improved or affected.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you,
levittown Nick

Are you certain all 6 butterflies begin to open at the exact same time?

I'm not certain all 6 butterflies begin to open at the exact same time, but in the next few days I will examine them again. I've sworn to stranger things so this time I'll check again.
Thanks again,
Levittown Nick
