A month or so back one of my BILs and family stopped by here on their way to a new Duty Station in Alaska. We stored his Pet car in our MILs garage. He only checks email about once a week and hasn't got back to me with questions I asked after his last email.

Here is a C&P from his last email a week ago.
I need to procure a few heavy parts for the pet car that are probably cheaper and more available in Seattle Tacoma area. Specifically, I need a "World Class" T-5 5-speed transmission from a 1988 - 1993 Ford Mustang. If you see a good one (right, how can you tell) please, let me know.
Does anyone know What the Heck that is and what they might sell for in the lower 48??

And is that enough information for me to make a couple calls this weekend?

Thanks Link

Re: Car Buffs.. Tranny question

Wow Bob
I now know more about them than I ever wanted to know :)
Sent the link to BIL Mike but I'm sure he knows all that already. He has spent many hours/years building this "Pet" car from the frame up. Even has a special pilot bearing so that the tranny will mate up to his bell housing. I think it is a Sunbeam? Little thing is about 8 feet long and now sits about 4 inches off the ground! Boys and their Toys!
