Being a boater, was wondering while watching the movie which brand engine could be powering both skiffs while in pursuit of the Alabama ship.

"Those 2 are comming real fast", "Look at me, look at me, I'm your Captain now...

A small triangular sticker at front cowl indicated Tohatsu made, probably new 2 strokes 140 HP engines suitably old looking.

BTW, who enjoyed the movie ?

I haven't seen the movie, but I'd bet it's a late model Japanese brand like Tohatsu or a Yamaha Enduro. They're sort of like the Toyota pick up of outboards, which the warlords also love.

In a weird sort of way, it's a great endorsement. it shows those motors can take a lickn' and keep on tickin'. The Yamaha Enduro, 2-strokes seem to be the brand of choice in the Caribbean and South America, but I'm starting to see more and more Tohatsu.

Well, not that reliable.
The motor did stop, while the were trying to catch Tom Hanks...
I did think it was kinda cool how they put two one the back though...
But he did have too kill a guy too get his twin setup...
They looked like 50hp M50D2 tohatslow outboards too me...
