can't trim

I have a plain 20ft aluminum express center console with a 99' honda 90 and i can not trim it up at all without porpusing I dont think the boat is over powered but the boat is very light how do i stop this? I also only run about 36mph wot 5300-5500 rpm so i think it proped right I've tryed adding weight to the front in the form of a bubby just to see but didnt realy help

Put everything you can up front, the fuel, tool box, move the battery but not so far ahead it is being shaken, but it sounds like you need trim tabs.

trim tabs is the way to go, I had to put them on my boat with a 90 Nissan jet , your Honda is probably about the same weight so i would put tabs on that are about a foot square. good luck.

You're on the right track. Porpoising is almost caused by one of two things.

1. Too much weight-aft.

2. Engine set too low.

Yes, trim tabs or "Smartabs" will certainly help.

yes but will trim tabs negativly affect my top end or will i get more speed i would like to be in the 40-45 mph range
