cant spark intrest

i have a 7.5 hp honda 4 stroke that i cant get spark out of plug wires any help? already took the kill switch out thanks for your replys

Is it a mechanical ignition or electronic? I don't remember when they changed over. it was sometime in the 70's..

i dont know if it elect. ing or mecanical.. not sure of its year but im pretty s
ure its newer than a 70s model im thinking a 95 numbers say bf7512395 does the 95 note the year?

I may be mistaken regarding the year of the change over from points to electronic,,If it has points, you can see them thru the hole in the cam sprocket. It has a rubber plug in it ..I have 2 motors, both of them are points. You can clean and adjust the points using the hole, but if they need changing, You will need to remove the sprocket...

cam sprocket? do you mean the fly wheel? i havent seen any such hole to gain access to the points if it has any points at all ty for your help

Mitch, no not the flywheel, the smaller wheel that is driven by a belt off of the flywheel...

aw that one lol ok i know which one your talking about now . ty ill take a look . would you happen to take a wild guess at the year this is ?posted #s before the ones on the plate and block are the same and if this helps , the cover <engine> is cream colored with the words :honda: in blue. i think its a 95 but im not a honda tec. lol. thanks for your help so far.. mitch

I'm not a tech either, I had a cross reference once, but that's not helping you now.....I think they started making them gold in the mid 90's but can't swear to it...wish I could help ya...
