Have a (approx.) 1995 90hp Evinrude. Found coin on powerhead with # G4032392. I have Evinrude manual but the number on the coin does not correspond with the manual. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Tried to attach pic with no luck.
That serial is no longer on file. Best to start out by identifying which engine you've got. OMC made two different types of 90's that year. A looper and the old crossflow. No similarities between them. You can compare the attributes/configuration of your engine to the original factory parts lists for many years of engines at this website: epc.brp.com

Thank you for the replies. I've tried looking up the difference in the two types with no absolute determination of which one I have so far but, it appears I may have the crossflow. Does anyone know if there were differences in the motor covers between the two? I found a crossflow for sale but they didn't show w/ cover off.
The easy ways to tell if you have a looper or a crossflow model is to look at the motor cover latches. If you have 3 latches, it is a crossflow 90? engine. The 60? has 2 latches.
Also the trim switch is on the port side with a 60? and the stb side on the 90?.
I have the crossflow. That you for your help. Long time gear head, first time boat owner. Figured I'd start with something that needed some fixing. Ok, so I've done stupider things but this forum has been a great (indispensable) help. Seems there are many people here willing to pass on their knowledge. Much appreciated!
